What’s the best future you could imagine?
We offer a short course called Hope Explored, that is perfect for anyone looking for answers to life’s big questions.
There are few emotions more powerful than hope. But these days, hope often feels hard to come by. So where can we find a hope that won’t disappoint us?
session 1 hope
session 2 Peace
session 3 Purpose
Perhaps you remember the Narnia books if you read them as a child? In “The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe,” Mr Tumnus feels weary of the world. Not only because it was always winter, but also because it was never Christmas.
“It is winter in Narnia,” said Mr. Tumnus, “and has been for ever so long…. always winter, but never Christmas.”“The lion the witch and the wardrobe” – cs Lewis
Life can feel that way to us, and we need hope to keep us going. Just like Mr Tumnus, we need hope that it will not always be winter! However, Christmas is coming – and has come. And so that makes all the difference.
Hope Explored looks at the life, death and resurrection of Jesus in Luke’s Gospel. This three-session series shows that Christianity is about real hope: a joyful expectation for the future, based on true events in the past, which changes everything about my present.
How is the course run?
Normally this groups meets in Ben and Cherry’s house, where you’ll be greeted warmly, and there will be a bit of time to introduce ourselves over a hot drink. Next there will be a video and a short talk, with some discussion.
You can expect an informal and relaxed course where you can ask questions or simply listen.
There is always the possibility of running the course over zoom.
So why not go ahead and register your interest in Hope Explored today.
